BRIEF: Retouch and artwork King’s Cross station takeover design, working with supplied assets. This involves upscaling and in some cases, reworking these asset in order to create a seemless, illustrative comp to stretch down the entire 70m public walkway.

BRIEF: Retouch and artwork King’s Cross station takeover design.

This was an entirely covered, 70m long corridor, that required final artwork files setup at 10% scale at 700dpi. There were two walls that arched overhead to become the ceiling, also including the floor. Each wall and the floor was split into four pieces, with each wall piece averaging 50GB open file size. The artwork was comprised of many smart objects, vector shapes and typography. Many elements had to greatly enlarged, sometimes involving redrawing and enhancing certain parts. Finally a grain had to be produced in order to unify and blend together the various illustrations, as well as to mask the poorer resolution of several design elements.
